Audiobook Description:

In a time when technology can reveal the darkest of secrets, there's only one place to hide a crime of passion - in the heart. . . The first victim was found lying on a sidewalk in the rain. The second was murdered in her own apartment building. Police lieutenant Eve Dallas had no problem finding connections between the two crimes. Both victims were beautiful and highly successful women. Their glamorous lives and loves were the talk of the city. And their intimate relations with men of great power and wealth provided Eve with a long list of suspects - including her own lover, Roarke. As a woman, Eve was compelled to trust the man who shared her bed. But as a cop, it was her job to follow every lead . . .to investigate every scandalous rumor . . .to explore every secret passion, no matter how dark. Or how dangerous.

Hmm, okay, I get it, and I admit it. I’m hooked on this series. I usually pride myself on being able to resist series other people are crazy about, but that’s just not going to be the case here.

I loved this book from page one. The author can write emotion wonderfully, and the dialogue is... more...

Opening Line: "The dead were her business"

I originally started JD Robb’s In Death series because it was recommended to me by well… everyone. And Yes it is good. In fact I ended up liking this 2nd instalment even more then the first however (except for Roarke) I don't totally lo... more...

I'm so happy I have found another series this good. I must admit I wasn't expecting to like it this much. What makes me the most happy person on Earth is that I heard every book in this series is as good as this first 2 and as there are 30 more of them still to read I will be extremely entertained f... more...

I'm a little past half-way through and I can say right at this point that I hate it when Roarke isn't around. Unlike the first book, Naked In Death, I found myself less interested in the murder mystery this time and more focused on Eve's and Roarke's relationship.

    I'm curious whether Glor... more...

Nora Roberts. Hmm. Where do I start? She's a master of forulma, but I don't think much else. To be fair, I've only read the first IN DEATH book, along with another Robert's novel I simply couldn't get past page fifty because of the lameness of it's concept, plot, and execution. But this isn't about ... more...

One of the initial reservations I had about this series was the doubt about the “readability†of a series with the same leading characters, Eve Dallas and Roarke. I mean, wouldn’t it get boring after a while?
The first book read like a “standard†romance to me. Boy meets girl, falls for her, gi... more...

Nora Roberts. . .where do I start? She's a master of formula, but not much else. To be fair, I've only read the first IN DEATH book, along with another of her novels, which I couldn't get past page fifty because of its utter failure in concept, plot, and execution. But alas, this isn't about that.

I wanted this one to be just as good as the first, and it was!
Lieutenant Eve Dallas is after a serial killer again. This time the madman is targeting powerful women, and Eve decides to make herself a target.

Although these books focus a lot on Eve's detective work, they definitely ... more...
